At Keyham Lodge School we have several incentive schemes in place. Our incentives are implemented to help motivate our students to engage with their education and to aid them in developing their own social, emotional and life skills.

GEARS

The majority of our incentives are underpinned by Gears which is our behaviour for learning system at Keyham Lodge School. The students receive a gear at the end of each lesson which is reflective of their behaviour for learning during the lesson. The total number of gears for the week is calculated and if students meet the predetermined gear threshold for the week then they will access the V.I.P club. The gear threshold is typically 2.5x25 lessons = 62 gears (however this figure can vary between weeks and for individual students based on their timetable).
